Gyasi has a great affinity for the photograph. As a child he first experienced the duality of the art world. It propelled him to take up figure drawing and graf.  He grew to the understanding that "art is both institutional and free.  This understanding helped him to understand the paradox of life. 

Gyasi believes that All "ART is SOCIAL MOVEMENT."  In his photographs he seeks to question the things we think we know.  Photography is a widely used and powerful medium.  Photography like music has the ability to connect people and ideas across time, language barriers, and social lines.  A photograph is worth a million words!
